Pierogies

These pierogies were awful. I've heard good things about this recipe, but I just couldn't get it to work! These were some of the worst pierogies I've had. Be warned!

Author Rating: 2/10

Ingredients:

1 poundbacon; cooked and crumbled
0.5 teaspoonblack pepper
1 egg
0.5 teaspoongarlic powder
0.5 cupwater
1 cupwhite flour
1.5 cupwhole wheat flour
1 teaspoonworcestershire sauce

Directions:

Step 1
Start boiling some potatoes. Fry the onion in a pan with some butter
Step 2
Fry bacon, and crumble into bits.
Step 3
Mix the flour, water, and egg into a dough
Step 4
Roll the dough out, and use a glass to create round "disks" of dough
Step 5
Mash the potatoes and mix in some butter, milk, bacon, and other spices.
Step 6
Take a disk of dough, roll it out more, and place a lump of potato mix in the middle.
Step 7
Use a bit of water around the edge to make a good seal. (Make sure the seal is good, or else you will have a big mess later!)
Step 8
Boil the pierogies for a few minutes, then let them dry.
Step 9
Fry the boiled pierogies in some butter.

Notes:

Two hints I've received: 1. use warm water in the dough 2. roll the dough very thinRecipe provided via www.MeanMeals.com
