Directions:Step 1 Brown the beef in a frying pan with chopped onion and garlic
Step 2 In a large soup pot, add lentils, barley, chopped carrots, sliced celery, and chicken broth. Simmer for 30 minutes.
Step 3 Add the remaining ingredients to the soup pot, including the browned beef. Simmer for another 1.5 hours. You can add salt to your liking.
