Potato and Hamburger Casserole

An absolutely delicious combination of potatoes and hamburger, covered with cheese. Sure it sounds a little weird, but it's very tasty!

2 cupcheddar cheese
1 tablespoondiced garlic (approx 6 cloves)
1 poundground beef
2.5 cupmilk
2 onions
2 teaspoonoregano
1 teaspoonpepper
5 poundpotatoes (6 large)
0.5 teaspoonSalt
3 tablespoonwhite flour


Directions:

Step 1
Dice the onion, and add to the frying pan with the beef. Cook until beef is browned.
Step 2
Add the pepper, oregano, and flour into the beef mixture.
Step 3
Add the milk to the mixture, and stirring constantly, cook until the milk is thickened (approx. 10 minutes)
Step 4
Slice the potatoes in thin slices (5mm thick or so), and put them in a casserole dish. Arrange alternating layers of the beef/milk mixture and the potatoes.
Step 5
Cover and bake at 350F for 90 minutes, or until potatoes are tender.
Step 6
Uncover, cover with cheese, and cook for 20 more minutes. Let sit to cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
