Soft Sugar Cookies

0.5 teaspoonbaking soda
1 cupbutter, softened
0.75 cupicing sugar
0.66667 cupsugar
1 teaspoonvanilla extract
2.125 cupwhite flour


Directions:

Step 1
In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour and baking soda.
Step 2
In a mixer bowl, beat the butter with the sugars until fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla until combined. Add in flour mixture and beat until combined.
Step 3
Roll the dough into 1 inch balls and place on a cookie sheet with space to grow.
Step 4
Bake for 11-12 minutes at 350F until they just begin to brown at the edges. Cool completely before optionally decorating.
