0.5 cupbutter
0.5 cupmilk
0.5 cupsugar
0.5 teaspoonvanilla extract
1.5 tablespoonwhite flour

Directions:

Step 1
In a small sauce pan whisk the milk and flour. Cook on a medium heat until it boils and thickens, stirring frequently.
Step 2
Let the cooked milk cool for a few minutes, then cover with wax paper. This is important to prevent a layer of skin forming on the mixture as it cools. Leave it for 30 minutes until it has cooled completely.
Step 3
On a medium-high speed, beat the softened butter for 3 minutes. Add the sugar and beat for another 3 minutes. Add the vanilla and milk mixture and beat for another 5 minutes until the icing becomes fluffy and white.
Step 4
Put the icing sugar in the fridge for 15 minutes and not longer before icing the cake or cupcakes.
