Red velvet cake

This red velvet cake makes a nice chocolate cake if you don't have food coloring. It goes really well with the cream cheese frosting.Servings: 1 two layered cake

Combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
Mix together the buttermilk, vanilla, food colouring, and vinegar.
Beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating after each. Beat in the flour mixture, alternating with the buttermilk mixture.
Divide the batter into two pans and bake at 350F for 25-30 minutes, until the cake is cooked through.
Let the cake cool, then frost with cream cheese frosting.
