Directions:Step 1 Combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
Step 2 Mix together the buttermilk, vanilla, food colouring, and vinegar.
Step 3 Beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating after each. Beat in the flour mixture, alternating with the buttermilk mixture.
Step 4 Divide the batter into two pans and bake at 350F for 25-30 minutes, until the cake is cooked through.
Step 5 Let the cake cool, then frost with cream cheese frosting.
