Strawberry PieCategory: edobiesrodr > Dinners This strawberry pie filling tastes great. It was a bit of an experiment, and unfortunately it didn't work out so well. The filling turned out very runny. Directions:Step 1 Wash the strawberries and remove their tops.
Step 2 Place 2.5 cups of strawberries into a food processor and blend for about a minute until it is pureed.
Step 3 Strain the puree into a sauce pan. Add the sugar and cornstarch. Heat on the stove at medium, stirring constantly until the mixture boils and thickens to the consistency of pudding.
Step 4 Remove the sauce pan from the stove and add the juice from the lemon.
Step 5 Cut the remaining strawberries into smaller pieces. Place them in an uncooked pie crust, then cover with the strawberry puree.
Step 6 Bake the pie in the oven at 375 F for 50-60 minutes.
